From the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Section 2(2) It is
the Employers responisibility to provide:
Safe Plant and Safe Systems of Work
Necessary information, instruction, training and supervision
A safe place of work, with safe access and egress
Safe handling, storage, maintenance and transport of articles and
substances
